THE MYSTICAL PATH OF TAROT

Tarot is an ancient form of divination in which we shed new light on your dreams, aspirations, challenges, and “blind spots.” It is fascinating, healing, and another step toward understanding yourself at a more compassionate, integrated level. I’ve been working with the symbolism of tarot for more than 30 years, and I collect tarot decks of many different cultures from all over the world.

I love to open a session by asking the questions that need to be answered, and by then having you choose the cards. This action draws you into the reading and acknowledges your role in your own destiny. You can choose one card, or many, for one question or for a certain time period. Slowly, we interpret the cards together, allowing the answers to surface from differing levels of consciousness. It’s amazing how transparent each card becomes in terms of what is being created in your past, present, and future.

Most clients come once a year, some every six months, to see what they are creating, or to see if there are blockages to the success they desire in their lives, hoping to learn how to transform those blockages. Many connect for a tarot session by phone, great for when there's an urgent decision to make or when feeling stuck in a certain situation.

Typical Questions that arise in a Tarot Session

  1. How can I create a spiritual path for myself?
  2. How does the next year’s forecast look?
  3. Does my job look secure?
  4. What do the cards say about selling my home?
  5. Will I have a new love in my life?

The Tarot Decks and Oracles I Use

For the most part, I work with the Thoth Tarot deck because it seems to be so accurate. I also love the Salvador Dali deck (golden and colorful) and also the Gustav Klimt deck (also very beautiful).

If you are having issues about your personal power, I like to use The Medicine Cards by Jamie Sams and David Carson. These cards celebrate the Native American ways and the power of spirit animals who come to bring their medicine at different times in our lives. There are 44 different animals who speak to us of what we may need to heal, to create, or to flourish. There are also nine blank Native American shields where you can choose any animal you wish and work with that animal's medicine. The book that accompanies The Medicine Cards is impeccably written, truly magical, and insightful.

If you prefer to work with just a single card, then I would have you choose The Osho Zen Tarot. Each card represents a way of moving through life. Again, the accompanying manual to this is very well written and brings many "Ah-hahs!" For relaxing, heart-opening experiences I would choose the cards of Thich Nhat Hanh, Louise Hay, and Eckhart Tolle. They are each so wise and clear.

The world of tarot is colorful and deep. Each card has the potential to open gateways that can lead to instant discovery and self-development.
